Generally construction is feasible from about midApril to about midNovember. This does not preclude some construction work such as placement of rockfill or protection stone during the winter depending on specific weather conditions. General construction planning should plan on starting in April and terminating in November.(#` ` ` Most of the Lajara remediation is in separated areas such that construction can be carried on simultaneously without interference (i.e., remediation of the middle dike, remediation of the diversion dike, remediation of the culvert and embankment and spillway remediation). (#` ` ` Timing of work on the embankment should start with replacement of the outlet and treatment of the rock contact under the north end dogleg followed by any necessary embankment sloping and grading followed by placement of overtopping protection, upstream slope protection and rockfill placement at the downstream toe. Spillway improvement can proceed simultaneously.(#`  R B.` ` Reservoir Operation During Operation ` ` A small cofferdam will be required for construction of the replacement outlet and for sealing of the existing outlet. Otherwise there is no need to breach the dam and/or lower the reservoir elevation.(#` (,))Ԍ R C.` ` Additional Exploration ` ` The only additional exploration required for Lajara remediation is location of a borrow source for minor amounts of random fill required for the embankment and borrow to raise the diversion dike.(#`  R. D.` ` Construction Materials ` ` Only a minor amount of random fill (any suitable material) is required for the embankment and diversion dikes. Sand filter, gravel bedding, gravel crest surfacing and protection stone will probably come from production sources off the reservation. Concrete and RCC, if used, will also probably come from concrete plants located off the reservation. There is a possibility that locally available sandstone can be used for upstream slope protection and rockfill along the downstream toe of the embankment.(#`
